Workers' Compensation - If you are injured on the job, you need to know your rights with regard to benefits for medical treatment and workers' compensation pay.

Workers' Compensation is insurance that most employers are required to carry in the event an employee becomes injured on the job and has to seek medical treatment. The right of the employee to receive medical treatment is at the expense of the employer and continues as long as the treatment is reasonable and necessary. 

Workers' Compensation benefits for medical treatment include, but are not limited to the following treatment:

  • Emergency room visits
  • Doctor visits
  • Surgeries
  • Physical Therapy
  • Prescribed medicines

Workers' Compensation pay is given to an employee for the following reasons:

  • An employee is placed on light duty, but the employer cannot provide light duty work
  • An employee is taken completely out of work by the treating physician

Personal Injury - If you are injured in an automobile accident or suffer injuries from a slip and fall or other causes arising out of the negligence of others, we will be glad to advise you with regard to your rights and medical treatment.

Medical Malpractice - If you or someone you know has suffered an injury or damages due to an act of neglect or an act of omission by a medical professional, you or they may have a medical malpractice lawsuit. Medical malpractice suits can be brought against individuals and/or facilities.

Wrongful Death - If someone you know dies as a result of negligence or misconduct of another person or company, you may have a wrongful death claim. A wrongful death claim can arise out of, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Medical Malpractice
  • Vehicular accident
  • Occupational exposure to hazardous material, chemicals, substances and/or conditions
  • Death while in supervised facilities or during supervised activities

Products Liability - If you or someone you know has been injured or harmed by a defective product, you or they may have a products liability case.  A products liability claim for which manufacturers can be sued may arise out of, but is not limited to the following:

  • Design and manufacturing defects
  • Defective or improper safety devices

Products liability claims most often involve, but are not limited to the following:

  • Industrial and farm machinery and equipment
  • Products that result in explosions and/or cause burns
  • Poorly or improperly designed household products
  • Faulty or defective seat belt designs
  • Vehicular roll-overs
  • Vehicular gas tank explosions
  • Vehicular design
  • Poorly or improperly designed toys
